I’m Valeria, a writer, journalist, copywriter and content editor based in Venice, Italy.

In my writing, I focus on creative and literary nonfiction, personal essays spanning food, travel and culture, and memoir. I often write about Venice and the Veneto, my region of origin, either through the lens of food or through conversations, interviews or personal reflections aimed at capturing the bigger picture. I also write about Italian culture at large.

My first book, Veneto, is a memoir-slash-cookbook on the food of my roots. It was published in 2017 by Faber and it contains 100 recipes dovetailed with personal anecdotes and regional culinary notes.

“Her book is incredible. The photography is just wonderful.”
