Impressions: Valdirose
What Irene and Paolo did with the family home is nothing short of poetic. Perched on the hills overlooking Florence, surrounded by a joyfully wild garden of olive trees, lavender and rosemary, Valdirose is a B&B as much as it is an oasis –– of beauty, peace, and kindness. Irene’s eye shines through as her sense of balance and beauty touches everything, from the breakfast room to the choice of crockery to the colour palette in each and every room. Paolo’s touch and handiness, on the other hand, comes across in the impeccable coffees as much as in the beautifully imperfect furniture decorating the house.
We only stayed two nights, but we cherished every moment. Here are a few visual impressions for our visit in June.
